WE ARE CLOSING THE BRICK AND MORTAR SIDE OF OUR BUSINESS - AND THROWING A PARTY!

This year marks TEN years for our business, which has brought a lot of reflection for me and my family. I can’t believe how time has flown and I’m grateful for our journey. Each year I’ve been in business has brought a new challenge and with it new decisions and changes; never a step back, just another step. In fact, when I look back on the last ten years, I can clearly see a recurring pattern where we reflect, take a pulse check, and pivot accordingly to where we are during that season. The decisions haven’t gotten easier, but we are always stronger for them. 

After much consideration and discussion with my family, we have decided that this year’s big change will be to close the shop.

In our current life stage I want more time and location flexibility as a mom, wife, and business owner; so having “shopkeep” on my resume no longer meets these requirements. This decision has not come easily, but ultimately I am excited to see where it will take us.

To clarify any confusion, we are not going out of business - we are just closing the brick and mortar side of our businesses.

I will be taking some time off over the summer to reflect on this big change and give myself space and grace to walk into the next chapter with joy and clarity.

Travel Patterns will continue to operate online via our website with hope for future pop up events like we have held since our inception in 2014. My interior design studio will also continue to operate as it has been, and The Brim Bar (which has grown into its own business over the last 3 years) is going fully remote and will continue to pop up for events and private parties around the southeast.  

Building up to big announcements doesn't feel like one of my strong suits, so this change is coming fast! We are not returning to regular hours in March as previously planned, and will only be open four more Saturdays (full schedule and discounts below). The shop’s last day to be open will be on Saturday, April 20 - the same day as our annual Pop Up Caravan. 

Closing the doors with a party and being surrounded by other incredible women, mothers, and business owners from our community felt like the perfect way to end this chapter!

All of this also means we need to CLEAR OUT OUR IN-STORE STOCK and we need your help to clean everything out. Below is our sale schedule and discounts for each day:

For those of you who have been a part of this community for many years (some of you for all ten!) thank you for continuing to be here. Some of you may have only discovered us since we opened our brick and mortar location three years ago, and I’m so glad that you found us! I hope all of you will continue to follow our journey and support us as we transition into a new chapter for our family and business.
